Position Summary
We are seeking technically skilled database administrators who can hold positions of great responsibility. Being Database Administrator will be responsible for monitoring, maintenance, and operational support of our Prince Bank databases.
Job Responsibilities
- A minimum of 3 years of experience working with various database management systems Oracle, MS-SQL, Mysql and Postgres etc.
- Incident management and communication to the user community.
- Posting of alerts, system status changes, and other web-based communications.
- Maintain server and database uptime using various monitoring, reporting, and alerting solutions.
- Proactively works with other technical support staff to resolve production issues.
- Installation and updating of new software – install new versions of Oracle database software, Oracle application software, core banking application (Flexcube), and other software related to Oracle administration.
- Arranging standby databases\, real application clusters, and disaster recovery of databases.
- Troubleshooting any Oracle database problems and escalating issues to the Oracle development team and third parties as
Job Requirements
- Minimum bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or Management Information System/Technology preferred
- Knowledge of SQL, PL/SQL, Linux, Unix, Database backup and restorations.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in guidance and day-to-day operational oversight for the bank’s data storage and security with the best experience with Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, Postgres, and others.
- Understanding of AWS, OCI, and Azure cloud technologies.
- Restoring a database to the testing environment (UAT).
- Perform logical backups using exp, imp utilities.
- Perform Schema refreshment using Data pump utilities.
- Experience in Creating new users, and new tablespaces.
- Experience in Creating database objects Tables, View, Indexes etc.
